Flowers are a beautiful and natural way to share your sentiments. A single bloom can bring a smile to someone’s face and enhance friendships, romance and business relationships.

Jeeryn Dang is the co-owner of Petite Petal.  She began her journey when she started Tanjeeryn Designs in 2007.  At this time, she was creating floral arrangements part time while working as a Stability Scientist at Alza, Johnson and Johnson.  Although she loves science, working with flowers came naturally.  As a teenager, she got her start working with her parents and their catering business that required floral work to be done from time to time.

Jeeryn enjoys learning to bake and play the piano with her daughter, and playing make believe with her son.  Her husband is awesome!! He builds many of the props and containers used to customize the events.

Jeeryn gathers inspiration from her clients, her mom's enormous collection of magazines and books, nature, fashion, and in the collaboration with talented wedding and event professionsals that she is blessed to get to work with.

Before opening Petite Petal, Karen started her career teaching.  She received her teaching credential at San Francisco State University and taught 2nd grade for 7 years after she graduated.  As a teacher, she spent her summers off and needed to stay active and creative.  So she spent her summers working for a floral designer, where she learned about all the facets of floral design, organization, care, and attention to detail. After three years of experience as a freelance floral designer, she decided to start Huckleberry Karen Designs her first company.  She always dreamed of opening a shop and offering classes and workshops.  Petite Petal came about when Jeeryn and Karen decided to join forces and open Petite Petal.

Karen spends her wedding free weekends with her husband and two kids.  Some of their favorite things to do are visiting the Campbell’s Farmer’s Market on Sundays, have picnics at the park,  and searching for the best cement slide in the Bay Area (which happens to be Seward Slides in San Francisco). Sometimes they have a dance party at night (where we turn off the lights and rock out).  If they really want to go crazy, they bust out the glow sticks and have a mini rave.

Karen makes the best chocolate chip cookies and loves baked potatoes. She loves trying new things and the sound of her kids giggling and playing.  She prefers sandy beach vacations where she can lay by the ocean and sip a pina colada.  But most of all she loves to create, sew and surround herself by nature.
