Operations Office Assistant
Part time position - 10-12 hours. This position is ideally for a positive, energetic and friendly personality. This person needs to be able to think quick on their feet, be able to multi-task and be creative with their problem solving abilities. We are open Tuesday-Sunday between 11am-6pm. Must be able available to work 3 of those days with one being a weekend day. More hours during summer season (June-September) is a possibility. This position has room for growth depending on experience. Pay rate ranges from $14-16/hr depending on experience. **Please note that this is NOT a designing position. You will be asked to know flower names and basic flower care but will not be actively designing or making arrangements.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
· Assist with office duties including organizing paperwork, files and receipts.
· Organize schedules for deliveries and pick up orders for the shop
· Maintain and updating the monthly newsletter
· Help with organizing workshops and email attendees with details
· Assist with keeping inventory of items in the shop
· Answer phone calls and general questions from customers
· Assist with invoices and help create contracts and proposals for clients

Education and Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Experience in an office assistant or related field

Retail Sales Position
Part time position - 8-12 hours. This position is ideally for a positive, energetic and friendly personality. This person needs to be able to think quick on their feet, comfortable with multi-tasking and be creative with their problem solving abilities. We are open Tuesday-Sunday between 11am-6pm. **Please note that this is not a DESIGNING position. Retail Sales Associates will be lightly trained on flower care and the basic principles of flower arranging but the position will not be actively making arrangements on a daily basis. This position is ideal for a candidate who would like to learn more about the ins and outs of a creative retail business and learn about flowers in a fun and friendly environment.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
· Assist in all incoming phone calls at the shop
· Take orders from customers and answer customer inquiries
· Ring up sales items in a quick and efficient manner.
· Assist with inventory and merchandise along with creating eye catching displays
· Price incoming merchandise
· Pull items needed for the event and maintain inventory and assist event production
· Interface with clients and vendors in a professional manner
· Help manage workshop registrations and questions
· Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions and providing solutions
· Sweep, and clean the floors and flower cooler

Event Production Assistant
Part time position - ranges from 10-20 hours. Must be able to work Thursdays, Fridays and weekends for event set up and delivery. More hours during wedding season (April-November) is a possibility. This position has room for growth depending on experience. Pay rate ranges from $18-25/hr depending on experience.
This position is ideal for experienced floral design freelancers seeking extra work and hours to complement their current work situation and to expose themselves to different design techniques and large installations. Hours are fairly flexible. This is a FREELANCE contracting floral position so designers need to have their own business license (or be willing to obtain one). All contractors will be sent a 1099 at the end of the year for tax purposes.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
· Reproduce designs in various styles from sample or inspiration image
· The ability to create flower recipes for assigned arrangement(s)s
· Have knowledge of how many flowers and foliage it takes to make an arrangement in a specific size vase.
· Familiar with industry standards for flower handling and processing
· Assist the designer in all functions of floral design and implementation
· Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time
· Ability to climb a ladder
· Pull items needed for the event and maintain inventory
· Interface with clients and vendors in a professional manner
· Event setup and breakdown
· Adhere to venue regulations and represent the company in a positive way
